First Spring Flowers
A Spring flowers card inspired by the garden, my snowdrops are starting to flower and the crocus are well through the ground, the catkins are beginning to bud too.
A frosty snowy start to the day, no-one out as it's half term and our son is off today, Yesterday was a real hassle for him, his train left on time but was then delayed for an hour due to signalling problems then the train home was cancelled and it was a 2 hour wait for the next one. In the end hubby drove the 50+ miles to collect him. They still got home well before he would have on the train or bus. The route from Aberdeen to Inverness is not well served by public transport trains hourly at peak time only, then 2 hourly and the buses are meant to be hourly but the bus he would have gone for at 7pm rarely leaves before 7.20 and then takes over an hour and a half to get to the nearest stop to us, then another 10 miles to home. I love living where we do but sometimes do wonder if we would be better moving closer to Aberdeen.
The digi is from Power Poppy and is coloured with Promarkers
Papers a mix of makes
Flower dies from Sue Wilson and Marianne

Beautiful Spring card Meg xx
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful card Meg. This lovely Spring floral image is making me wish for the warmer, brighter weather. A lovely design too. Glad your son got home safely, the weather has been rather erratic and everything comes to a halt at the first snowflake.

Really beautiful card! It's a hard call - I've lived in both spectrums several times over and to be honest would still stick to the risk/chances of delays and being further out - IMHO! :)

ReplyDeleteSo many layers, textures and colors looking beautiful together. If I were to do this it would end up looking messy, not elegant like this. But layering is one of your many talents.
