Bits and Pieces: December 2018

I hope you all had a great Christmas and are looking forward to the New Year, it used to be the main event of the Festive Season in Scotland but it's popularity has declined especially over the past 30-40 years.

A relatively CAS Thank You card, made using watercolours and salt, I am trying to experiment with techniques I haven't used before or am not confident about. The stamp is from Sheena Douglas.

Today's Challenge at The Alphabet Challenge is T for Trees and was chosen by Helen I used Distress inks to create the background and a Sheena Douglas stamp for the line of trees.

Thank you to everyone who has been joining in the challenges at Back to Basics and Beyond this fortnight we would like to see a card where you have used a Resist Technique.

I don't have many Distress or Watercolour Inks but did enjoy making this card, using a Sheena Douglas stamp and several shades of blue inks.

Day 6

I was out all day yesterday so used an image I had previously printed onto card stock for the colour challenge,

Day 7

It was after one o'clock when I looked at the Challenge site for today's Bingo Challenge, after seeing Chris's card Chris is a member of the DT The freebie on the site was still last week's and the Bingo chart wasn't to be found, so I copied the Bingo requirements form Chris's blog and chose an image I already had to use.The light goes about 3pm here. i used the bottom line, plaid, bugaboo image and star.

The Challenge for Day 5 at Catch the Bug is to create a card based on the photo on the challenge site. Image coloured with Promarkers.

I chose to make a New Year card, in Scotland, New Year is very much a time for families, it used to be celebrated almost as much as Christmas, sadly there seem to be fewer and fewer people venturing out for the midnight celebrations, unless attending an organised event.

There are only two boys on my husband's School bus run, so this is for one of them, when I saw that Bugaboo where having a week of Challenges I thought I would try and participate in a few of them, there are some wonderful fun images on the site. Today's was a sketch challenge. Image coloured with Promarkers and mounted onto a Crafter's Companion ef.
