This week at MMM Pamela would like to see A Fall Theme, Digital Sunflower image from Power Poppy, coloured with Promarkers, I love them and the fact that they bloom into autumn. I do miss the variety of trees and plants we had in our last garden there was always something to take indoors to display in a vase.

Sunflowers are always such welcoming happy flowers, those on your card have been coloured beautifully and the delicate frames really draw the eye into them.

ReplyDeleteA lovely bright and happy card.
We planted some this year for the first time and have enjoyed watching them grow. They are about 8 foot high now! Fingers crossed the birds are going to be super hungry and they will enjoy eating the seeds.

ReplyDeleteI love sunflowers Meg, so bright and cheerful- definitely 'happy' flowers! We usually have them in our garden but this year all the seedlings got eaten- a real slug/snail epidemic and we couldn't put anything down to stop them as Marvin was eating everything in sight...yes he even had a go at the slugs and snails! Yuck.

Sunflowers are my favorite flower!! My grocery store actually them on sale this week so I bought me a bunch :).

ReplyDeleteI often try to grow sunflowers but the slugs usually eat them before they get chance to grow. This year we've been putting food out for the birds. The sunflower seeds that have dropped have grown into the most amazing display of sunflowers! They cheer me up every time I see them!

ReplyDeleteI love sunflowers too Meg and your card is beautiful. It's hard to give up a garden isn't it - I still dream of the garden in my old house. I think it's because gardening is creative but takes a lot longer to come to fruition. You can start making plans for the new garden now though! Vicky x

ReplyDeleteI have a perpetual fondness for sunflowers, which stretches back to the lofty examples of such that grew abundantly each summer in my (paternal) grandparent's backyard when I was a little girl. To this day, I still jump for joy when I spot the first sunflowers of the season.
