Wise Men

Welcome all friends and followers thank you for taking the time to pop in and leave a comment, has anyone else had any problems with their reading list in the new blogger, I don't know if it's because I access the list from 2 different computers but my list no longer shows posts in order of when they were published, so sorry if I have missed you at any time.

I was  browsing in my drafts folder and came across this card of the Wise Men, it's been there for a long time so decided to add it today. A watercolour background and Tim Holtz die cut, nice and simple and flat for posting.

My Way

I follow Nana Connie at http://mygrammysattic.blogspot.com/ and she kindly invited me to join a small group of crafters who, are trying to stretch their comfort zone  by following a 'recipe' of four "Must Do" things and another three "Can Do if you choose" things in making a card or other project.

One person chooses the Must Dos and the Can Dos, makes a sample card (or other project), emails a photo of it to each person in the group, along with the list of Must and Can Dos.  The single catch is that one of the Must Dos is given to the next 'Cook' (cook = recipe) by the person who made up the previous recipe.  It does NOT have to be something they had in their recipe, just something they have designated as a Must Do for the new recipe.

This months challenge list includes the following

1.  Make it Monochromatic
2.  Make the Sentiment your focus - Sentiment can be die cut, stamped (digi or rubber), &/or typed/ computer font/ hand written
3.  Use "Paint Chips" - If you can't get any of those from your local paint store, make your own by coloring card stock "chips" to look like paint chips
4.  Use patterned paper in the background - if you don't have any dp, make your own & use as much or as little as you like

The additional three Can Do items are:

1. Use a Die Cut
2. Use your favourite colour
3. Use summer fruits

Sadly I do not have any paint chips ,( our nearest DIY store is just under 30 miles away and as my hubby is shielding didn't want to make the trip) but  had digital papers which came in colour families, I hope that this substitution was acceptable. I added my sentiment to the papers in my graphics programme before printing.
