Christmas Decorations

When I saw the Challenge at ABC Christmas I decided to show my hand made decorations, last Christmas, apart from some glass ornaments these were the only decorations on the tree, I think I made about 100 of each, the snowflakes only took about 15 min to crochet and after the first few I didn't need to refer to the pattern. The pine cones gathered last Spring on our daily walk ( to allow them to dry out) had a small hole drilled at the top (thank you to hubby for that, he was much more proficient at it than me) then I using my glue gun I added the thread to hang them by, some red berries and finally a tartan bow, The total cost couldn't have been more than £5 , the most expensive item being the crochet cotton.I really liked the finished tree.

What beautiful decorations. There is something so very satisfying about making your own decorations. The crochet snowflakes are lovely. I crocheted a snowflake garland that comes out year after year and adorns our dresser xx

I’ve given up learning to crochet. I look like a child grabbing for a pencil for the first time, lol. Beautiful decorations, I’m sure the tree looked fabulous!
