Lots of Layers with Oddball Art

The Challenge this month at Crafty Calendar is Lots of Layers and is sponsored by Oddball Art

We were able to choose an image to work with and I chose baby zombie bat  paper pieced the main body and teamed with free papers from Summer Driggs.(no longer available sadly) A Halloween card for my son who shortly after moving into his new flat had a visit from a bat, who wakened him during the night having flown in through the open window. No. 2 son filmed their escapades trying to get it back out and I can honestly say I laughed and laughed for ages.

Please pop over to the Challenge site and see the cards from my teamies. Thanks for popping in I appreciate your visit and comments.

Well, at least your son didn’t have to deal with a zombie bat, ‘just’ a regular one, lol. What a fun and fitting card for him.

The Zombat image is fun and I like your choice of papers. Since your son had a personal encounter with a bat this card should be perfect for him. 😊

A super card Meg, a great image and lots of great layers.
I had a bat fly in through an open window, I have to say they are not the easiest thing to catch.
I'm playing catch up at the moment, I have been on holiday for a week and have been having a major sort out in my craft room.

Thank you for your visit, Meg. I wouldn't like to meet your bat on any sort of night but he makes a great card. I can empathise with your son and his bat as it happened in a house we had many years ago and scared the life out of everyone. We didn't have mobiles in those days to capture the events.

Sounds like a perfect card for your son, Meg. I remember sleeping in an old school when I was about 12 years old on a Girl Guide holiday. A bat flew into the bedroom a few of us were sharing and I dived under the blankets until someone got it out! Frightened me to death! LOL! xx
