Flowers at Crafty Calendar

This month at the Crafty Calendar we are sponsored by Lemon Shortbread and the theme is Flowers.

My card has been left mostly uncoloured as it forms part of a gift to a new young crafter, I also have a paper pad, some flowers  and a starter set of alcohol markers for her, hopefully she will finish colouring the image.

Do pop over to the Challenge to see the great examples there.

Many thanks for your visit today, I appreciate the time you take to leave comments.

A beautiful card Meg, a great idea to leave the image for the recipient to colour.

It's beautiful Meg, and what a kind and thoughtful idea to leave part of the image uncoloured as encouragement for a new crafter- although I rather like it as it is- it makes the flowers stand out!. I hope she enjoys your thoughtful gift.

When I first saw the image on your blog, I said to myself "Oh Wow" It is really very striking, the image really stands out and don't know if it would have the same effect if it was coloured. Brilliant Meg.

I love how you just colored the flowers around her and left her "as is". Very striking!

Oooo, loving the way you chose to color the flowers and leave the face as a line drawing, Meg! Clever and beautiful. Great choice of the gingham paper.

I love the effect of the partially colored image. A nice idea though that the receiver can finish up the image herself. A nice gift idea.
