Happy Birthday

Welcome to the latest challenge at Make My Monday where the challenge chosen by Debbie is Happy Birthday.

I love pretty feminine images, sadly the ones I have rarely get an outing, as I need about 6 masculine cards to each feminine one, it gets harder to create cards which feature hobbies/ sports particular to the recipient. This card will remind my hubby of the work we had  preparing firewood for the 2 wood burning stoves in our last house, hubby and I spent hours preparing the logs for the fire. Below is a picture of the last 2 loads we had delivered on the same day approx 45 tons. Hubby is so glad that we don't have all that work to do now, but does miss the stove.

Many thanks for all your kind comments on my last few cards and for taking the time to pop in and leave one today.

A super card Meg, a fabulous masculine design.
Wow! That is one huge stack of logs, we used to heat our home with wood burners and a rayburn, that also used to heat the water and my mum cooked with, when I was a child - we have a wood burner now but only for additional heat and because it's nice in the winter, we never had a pile of wood like that though!

Hello, Meg. I bet you do miss those stoves but that wall of logs looks pretty daunting! Your card is great, I really like that you have themed the colours so brilliantly and your embossing looks great too. Vee xx

A wonderful masculine card design Meg, it does get harder to create cards for the same individuals each year and come up with different designs but this is fabulous.

Really wonderfully layered masculine card Meg! I'm with you on always needing the masculine cards as I don't have as many females to send the frilly ones to! The theme of your card is perfect with your reminder! preparing logs is so much work as living on a farm as a child and having to help, I know this!

A great card for the theme Meg. We dabbled with having a log burner put in but watching the guy at the next farm along the drove we decided against it, it seems to be a never ending quest to find wood and here in the Fen trees are not in abundance.

A super male card Meg, loving your design.
That's some mountain of logs. I would love a wood burning stove, but I don't live in that sort of house, I can imagine the work involved in getting wood and cutting it up, Kate x

Like me, I think I'm about the same ratio of masculine vs feminine cards, with 5 nephews and no nieces. And the youngest ones go to b-day parties, mostly to other boys.
I think this is a great masculine design, neutral and suiting any grown up male.

Beautiful masculine card. Great wooden colours. The embossing folder with its wooden motive is great for this card. And I think the lettering is the "icing of the cake". My husband likes fire and wood. He would be thrilled.
Thank you for sharing your card with Do-Al(l) Kreatives latest challenge.
hugs and good luck

Talk about a beaver's paradise! :D But seriously, that is one gigantic log pile if there was. Wowzers!!!

Awesome memory to help inspire this terrific masculine make. Wood/tree-related elements are a long-time go-to for me when making cards for guys as well.

Fantastic male design. Im the same with needing to make more male than female cards and it gets harder each year to come up with something different for them. Emmax

Holy cow that is a lot of logs!! I'm like you with the masculine cards, ladies are way outnumbered in my house! I do love the rugged feel to this card.
