Back to School

Today's Challenge at Make My Monday was chosen by Amy and she has chosen the theme"Back to School". I have used  several elements from a free collage sheet from Far Far Hill. The bus is decoupaged but that isn't evident in the photo. When my husband retired he wasn't happy not to be doing anything so for the last 8 years has been driving the local school bus, his first bus was yellow like this one, but it's a white one now. When the p 7's move on to Grammar school, he likes to give them a card wishing them luck.

Pop over to the Challenge Blog for some inspiration and see the fabulous makes there.

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Image from The Graphics Fairy

I love these vintage images they are what I think of as Traditional when Christmas meant snow and hand made. My image and papers were all free downloads.

Many thanks to everyone who leaves comments I really appreciate them thanks also to Jo and Lorraine who are my newest followers.

Busy day yesterday we went to Glasgow on the 7.11 from Huntly arriving there at 11.20, where we met my sister who lives near Edinburgh and my mother who lives in Renfrewshire. A few coffees later we met my son and his wife who had been in Florida for the past 3 weeks and then caught the 16.41 back home eventually arriving here at 9.45 pm. I feel wiped out today so am going to have a really lazy time. The weather is glorious so I'll sit outside for an hour or two.

Well this one didn't take as long to make as my last card, I still dithered for ages with the choice for my papers and embellishments, and this time I coloured my image with Promarkers.

Merry Christmas

Could you describe this as a simple vintage card ?? I'm fairly pleased with the way it turned out.

We have a bright morning here today, so I will probably spend some time sweeping up leaves and tidying in the garden. In between I am doing my son's washing, when I asked him if he had any yesterday he said no, he has now produced a laundry basket with at least 3 loads in it. I must have asked at an inconvenient time yesterday!!

I really enjoy making vintage style cards the examples I have seen had so many layers and embellishments and it is fun mixing many elements together . It is a dull day here ,what better excuse to spend time crafting.
