Wreath

We've had a busy week, my son had to go flat hunting after receiving notice that his landlord was putting the flat he rents up for sale, he has been there for 4 years and liked it. Shame he couldn't afford to buy it but at £150,000 for a 1 bed it was out of his reach.
We spent 2 days viewing flats after spending 2 days looking on line. I found it hard to believe that some flats weren't even cleaned for people viewing, The cost for some was astronomical, Aberdeen is probably the most expensive place to stay in Scotland but £700 per month for a place where the kitchen was 6ftx 4ft and there was no hanging space / wardrobe in the bedroom really was shocking. He did eventually find a place which he liked but it really stretched his budget rent and council tax are £ 850 a month, then bills on top of that, but it is spacious and only a 5 min walk to his work.

Good Morning Meg, what a lovely card, love the design of the embossing and a wornderful wreath with your dies.
Inverness too is very expensive for renting, it's shocking really, there should be a limit on what landlords can charge, hope your son manages ok, hugs Kate x

Hi Meg

Gosh, it makes you wonder how young ones ever manage to get on the property ladder in some parts of the country. Hope he settles in well.

Love your card - beautiful!

Oh Wow! this is gorgeous Meg… I love the embossing! it's the perfect background to the beautiful wreath! it's a really stunning card! :-)
Sorry that your son has had to find another flat… such a shame if he was happy there… the flats here are SO expensive also… couldn't believe when I looked at some retirement flats… and they are SO small too… think I would be claustrophobic in one… so glad that we now have stairlift so we can stay here as long as possible.
Hope you have a great weekend!
Big Hugs

Such a gorgeous Christmas card - I love white-on-white is so elegant. Just perfect for our challenge this week. Thank you for sharing and joining in with the fun at Sweet Stampin’ this week and good luck.

On another note - I had the same problem last year when the landlord of the house my daughter was living in (she lives in London) decided to move his family back, and all the occupants had to move out. Unfortunately my daughter was in denial and kept thinking something would turn up (which it didn't) and in the end we had less than a week to find her somewhere else to live and move her out. We did it, but it was such a nightmare and so stressful. I'm so glad your son's finally sorted now (kids eh!). Hugs Janine xx
