Christmas Past

A Christmas Past card today I love all the embellishments that are on this style of card, but feel I need a bit more practise to really achieve the effect I am looking for. Another dull morning and on the chilly side autumn is definitely here, the dull mornings have turned into beautiful afternoons crisp and bright.

Despite the awful train journey last week I have a trip to Edinburgh planned for the end of the month where I am meeting one of my sisters to introduce her to an aunt who I met through undertaking my family tree last year. I have known for some time that my dad had a half sister and another family member in Canada  met through researching my tree heard from her after yet another relative in Canada had contact with her.

Image printed from the first CD I bought Joanna Sheen's Christmas
Paper from Maja Designs and oddments of plain paper
All die-cuts made from Spellbinder Dies

Ooh this is gorgeous Meg… what a lovely santa image… I was looking through my folder last week and some of my 'vintage santas' look downright scary!! Lol - but I really like this one... he has a lovely Grandfatherly feel about him. Love the frantage and pretty embellies… everything has come together beautifully… it's perfect vintage!
glad the train journey hasn't put you off travelling.. the trip to Edinburgh sounds good… how wonderful that you've found some extended family through your genealogy… and in Canada too… sounds really interesting! I am gonna miss WDYTYA... just watched the last one with Twiggy! :-)
Hope you have a lovely evening!
Big hugs
