Christmas Challenges

Digi from Joanna Sheen House Mouse Project Book with CD volume 2
Spellbinder Die

Mixed weather here today bright sunshine with heavy showers, best indoors crafting.
I received a letter yesterday from the bank advising they were closing my local branch and transferring my accounts to a neighbouring town, I decided that if they were doing this it was time to review our banking arrangements and move accounts to a different bank. An hour later and having spoken to at least 5 people from customer services I was no further forward in ascertaining the penalty for closing a fixed term ISA. Everyone I spoke to appeared helpful until the call was transferred and you were still not put through to the correct department.
Feeling a lot less frustrated I called again this morning and eventually asked to make a formal complaint as yet again I was given different information and still not connected to the correct department, This proved to be worthwhile, they have just called back, upheld my complaint and offered to wave the penalty, give me £20 in compensation for the time spent on the phone, and are sending a bouquet of flowers. I am so sorry they are closing my local branch, living in a rural area I know all the staff personally and having been the District Nurse/Midwife visited many of them in a professional capacity. Face to face contact is far better than a telephone service centre and the local staff have been so helpful over the years. Enough of my rant  apologies for it.

A gorgeous card Meg, such an adorable image and fabulous CAS design.
It's such a shame when they close local branches, I much prefer face to face communication as well.

Aww this is really sweet Meg… isn't he adorable! you've coloured the image beautifully! Love the wavy border and gingham ribbon/berries! :-))
our weather is the same… keeps changing all the time… hope it brightens up for weekend.
Blimey… I'm glad you finally got some answers and an apology from the bank… sounds awful…such a shame that they are closing… but you need somewhere local for your finances. Hope you get things sorted soon and get settled into new bank ok.
Have a great weekend! I really can't believe it's Friday again already!!!
Big hugs, Sue B xx

Hello Meg, what a pity your are loosing your local bank, and it's terrible trying to do things over the phone sometimes. I lost the plot with someone from customer services with an enquiry I was making today, so I know how you feel, but pleased to hear you had some help at the end of the day and some compensation.
Now your card is so cute, love the image and your die border is fab, love it all, hugs Kate x

Love this little card, great image and layout, gorgeous border and ribbon at the top of the card too.
Banks are doing my head in at the moment, they are a Law unto themselves and you are lucky that you got some compensation.

Thank you for joining in this months Rudolph Day challenge.

This is eye candy, Meg! I love the traditional red and white and lots of white space and a decorative border and ribbon as only embellishment. Beautiful!
