CD Sunday Birthday Challenge

CD Sunday are celebrating their 6th Birthday with a different kind of challenge, you are being asked to select a card from a  previous challenge and show it again. Not nearly as simple as it sounds I spent ages going over cards and almost gave up. In the end I selected this one which I previously posted here my daughter-in-law chose this style of dress when she and my son were married last year.

Christmas Poinsettia

A variety of white and off-white papers and vellum included in today's card, I spritzed the vellum with water to shape it, but as soon as I'd done that it curled into shape on it's own, 2 pearlised paper die cuts at the back to give some substance to the flower.

We woke to snow and hail this morning lots of heavy showers but thankfully it's only lying on the grass although the hill is white and the top shrouded in mist.

Apologies for the poor photo the light is terrible.

 Hopefully going to the cinema to see Idris Elba in Bastille Day this week I loved him in Luther and am looking forward to this film.

Tulips

A quiet day today with really mixed weather rain, hail and sunshine, but much colder than it's been. My card looks squint in this photo but is straight , I am disappointed in the colour of the bow though as I used the same dark shade of promarker as I used in the tulip.

Singing in the Rain

I love my house mouse designs and this is a 5x5 card today, smaller than I usually make but I am determined to use  some of my stash and I have 50 of these cards . 

We had a couple of lovely days and I spent a few hours in the garden each day.  Still plenty to do though and it's raining and much cooler today.

Joy

God morning from a rather cold part of Scotland we actually have a little snow lying in the garden , but the sun is shining and it looks lovely.

Another Christmas card to show today I'm way behind this year so need to get a move on.

Apologies if I haven't visited we are having problems with the internet, it seems ok in the morning and evening but we can't get on during the day,BT are sending a new router and Ethernet cable and have asked us to re-site the router to see if that helps, the router has always been where it is now but we'll give it a go .

Snowman

Since we have had snow forecast and as I haven't made many Christmas cards this year, I decided to make one today. No snow as yet but it is bitterly cold with heavy showers of rain.

Thanks to everyone for all the encouraging comments I really appreciate them.

Will be taking our son to Huntly to catch the 15.45 to Aberdeen so will probably do a shop and treat myself to a comforting sweet. Hubby is working in Aberdeen till 23.00 which is when James finishes so they will come home together.

Sneeze Ease

We've had a beautiful day (Tuesday) warm with some sunshine, so I couldn't believe it when our regional forecast was for the possibility of snow to low levels for the end of the week. It makes me feel cold just thinking about it.

Another House Mouse card He's either sneezing because he has a cold or is allergic to flower/leaf pollen.

My son and his wife are very frequent visitors to Disney Florida I believe they have been every year for the past 5 years and they are going again in November. As they book direct with Disney they receive loads of special offers and vouchers which cuts down the costs dramatically. He was able to share some of these vouchers with a colleague recently and they saved several hundred pounds on the cost of their trip. She very kindly gave him a gift of a Thomas Kinkade Disney canvas print so this card is a thank you for that gift. It couldn't be anything other than Minnie Mouse he said.
I also managed to use up papers from my bits box.
