Yellow Rose

I really liked the card I made using this image in pinky red tones so decided to have a go in yellow/orange shades, fussy cut after colouring with promarkers,  The centre of the bloom decoupaged, but not very obvious in this pic.

A CAS fun card for a friend who will be staying at Disney's Polynesian Resort for her Birthday, kept really simple to show off the wonderful digi from " from the Heart" sadly now closed. Coloured with Promarkers with the greeting cut from Tattered Lace dies.

Christmas Deer

The whole family spent the weekend together for the first time since last Christmas,  visiting the West Coast of Scotland, travelling through some beautiful countryside on our journey from the East Coast. On Sunday we took a return trip on the Jacobite Express "The Harry Potter Train" from Fort William to Mallaig travelling in a six seat First Class Compartment I remember these  from my childhood and it brought back many fond memories. The journey over the Glenfinnan Viaduct was spectacular, you can see the leading part of the train on it from further back on the train. My sons both filmed the journey but I forgot to ask them for some pics of the viaduct. The pics below are of Loch Laggan.

R for Reindeer at the Alphabet Challenge

N for Nature at The Alphabet Challenge

Today's Challenge at The Alphabet Challenge is N for Nature, I chose an image from Creative Crafting World, as we have hedgehogs visiting the garden fairly regularly, living in the country we see foxes, deer, rabbits and pheasants on a regular basis, a couple of years ago a deer stripped every leaf from a young holly tree, thankfully it recovered.

I keep promising myself that I'm not going to buy anything else until I've used up some of my stash, I failed yet again and bought some dies from Creative Crafting World, they cut first time even on heavy card-stock. Good morning, we have a beautiful day, warm sunny and dry, not a hint of a cloud in the sky so I'll be heading out into the garden shortly.  My card uses coordinating papers and die cuts and I kept it quite simple so that it could be given for several occasions.

Happy Birthday

Miserable day here we woke up to snow and hail stones, although it's not lying for long , we've had heavy showers at times and it is really cold, have both wood stoves on at the moment, and the house is lovely and cosy.
