Christmas Deer

The whole family spent the weekend together for the first time since last Christmas,  visiting the West Coast of Scotland, travelling through some beautiful countryside on our journey from the East Coast. On Sunday we took a return trip on the Jacobite Express "The Harry Potter Train" from Fort William to Mallaig travelling in a six seat First Class Compartment I remember these  from my childhood and it brought back many fond memories. The journey over the Glenfinnan Viaduct was spectacular, you can see the leading part of the train on it from further back on the train. My sons both filmed the journey but I forgot to ask them for some pics of the viaduct. The pics below are of Loch Laggan.

A Christmas card just for the fun of it today, image and papers from the Making cards Christmas Special 2016, poinsettia die by Tattered Lace.

Thank you to everyone for visiting and the comments you leave, I appreciate the time you take to do so.

Wowsers, Meg, love this card, it just took my breath away the stag and magnificent layout you’ve used. Beautiful paining isn’t it.
Seen and photographed Loch Laggan, been by coach from Inverness to Gretna via isle of Skye down east coast on train but not inland, just loved my two visits to Scotland in 2006 and 2012.
Thanks for being a blessing, and may God bless you too.
Hugs, Shaz in Oz.x
PS joined your beautiful blog, hope you may pop over to mine and reciprocate.

Sounds as if you had a wonderful weekend with your family, so good when you can all get together.
It's a long time since I've visited Scotland, nearly 50 years but I've never forgotten the beauty of the lochs.

I think it’s lovely with the wreath framing the deer image and with the addition of the poinsettias it feels more Christmassy than just wintery. And I love deer on Christmas cards.
