Jingle All The Way

Hoping this finds you all well, tank you to my followers for their continuing support and comments, they are much appreciated. A quick card for today a simple layout using an image and papers from The House Mouse Triple CD Rom from Joanna Sheen.

I am almost ready for Christmas just waiting on several items my son ordered from Amazon, as usual dealing with Amazon (10 items ordered) has not been easy. Despite all the items being in stock and all are due to arrive tomorrow, they split the order in 3 , they called payment for the 1st part of the order , they then called for the 2nd part of the payment and e-mailed requesting we update the card details as the payment had been declined, on phoning the Bank they said no payment had been requested , somehow during a conversation with Customer Services at Amazon the payment was successfully completed, no new details given. Yes when the called for the 3rd part, the same problem, Bank again said no payment had been requested , hubby confirmed the card details with Customer Services and miraculously the payment went through. then today an e-mail saying the 3rd item was ready to dispatch and they would be calling the payment down, despite already having it. A shambles to say the least, why on earth they split the order into 3 parts I don't know and they were unwilling to give any explanation. Enough moaning from me.

Father Christmas

Firstly, apologies to any followers I have not caught up with yet, I will visit asap.
We had a fantastic holiday with the temperatures up in the high 70's F /low 80's F, it did make it tiring as it was also quite humid some days.( I didn't expect it to be as warm and locals said it was warmer than normal for the time of year)
We squeezed as much in as possible and hardly took time to relax there was so much to do and see.
On a visit to the Florida Mall I saw a Father Christmas Grotto it was so strange to see a him fully dressed in his suit with fur trim in the blazing sunshine, not at all Christmassy. We returned to clear skies and a hard frost a bit of a shock.

I now need to work on finishing my Christmas cards, so a simple design and layout today. The image is from the Making cards Christmas Special, I thought I had missed out on it but managed to get it in Aberdeen the day we left. The embossing folders are both from Crafter's Companion.

Best Wishes

I have scheduled this post, my second for the Ooh La La design team just in case there are any delays on our flights home. Even if not, I'm sure travelling for so long and the time change will mean having a long lie to help adjust.

This cheery rooster is from The Shawn Jenkins Cd and is for one of us to give to husband/dad for his birthday. It's a beautiful image the colours are so rich, and the image really detailed. All I added was a piece of embossed kraft card the sentiment and some twine.

Sparkle and Shine

Welcome to another challenge at CD Sunday and Wynn's choice Sparkle and Shine. Most of us will be concentrating on Christmas cards now, so no excuse not to sparkle and shine. Remember to use something from a CD and to note which CD you used in your post.

My backing paper comes from a very old Cd, Popcorn the Bear Christmas Collection from Crafter's Companion. I found the paper amongst those I had printed previously and knew it was from Crafter's Companion but had to search through my CD's to identify which one it was from.
The die is from Tonic and James is from Lili of the Valley.

Vintage Christmas

This is a scheduled post, so fingers crossed it publishes when it's meant to.I am especially excited about it as this is my first post for the Ooh La La design team, thank you ladies for the invitation to join you and making me so very welcome.

The theme for this challenge was chosen by Pauline and is vintage, all the papers are from The Shawn Jenkins CD, unusually for me there is no image and the only thing not from the Cd is the baubles which were cut and embossed using a sizzix set. please pay a visit to the challenge at Ooh La La and see the variety of vintage cards made by the design team.

I found I had a little time on my hands the day we were leaving on holiday so made a second card for the challenge.

This week I selected Father Christmas as the theme at CD Sunday There are loads of Father Christmas stamps and digis to choose from ( so this should be an easy challenge) and this stamp is from Stampendous. My Cd element is the green backing paper from Crafter's Companion Nordic Christmas.

Fawn

This image was on a free CD which came with an issue of Making Cards earlier this year, it contains all of 2015's papers and images from 2015 and was a great buy, I've found loads of images and papers I will use.

I love the colours and design of this image of a fawn and as the weather is still autumnal chose papers to match the season. Papers from Crafter's Companion Inspiration CD No. 11 the Autumn Edition.

My lovely boys have organised a surprise holiday in Florida for us all and gave me 1 weeks notice to get organised, we leave midweek and have a night in London ( going to see Aladdin the musical) then off to warmer weather, the temperature forecast is for the low 20's it will be lovely to leave the colder days and enjoy the warmth. Apologies in advance I will be unable to visit and leave comments (any form of blogging is forbidden) but will enjoy catching up when I get home. I do hope they let me sneak away to have time for some craft shopping

This is a card made with a specific person in mind, they know they are having a boy hence the colours I chose, the white space on both sides at the base of the image will be used to place die cut letters of the babe's name and date of birth, I've added a name digitally to the example below to show the idea, but will use die cuts on the actual card.

Wrapped with Love

I printed this image the other day when I was using my House Mouse Cd for my last card and made a quick simple card this afternoon. The sentiment is from the Desert Diva and seemed to fit the image perfectly. The little mouse is almost lost under the huge pile of presents that appear to be beautifully wrapped.

It seems as though my cards my most recent Christmas makes all feature birds and this is yet another. CAS in style this time coloured with Promarkers and featuring another Stampendous stamp, I smudged the tail feathers , but hopefully managed to disguise the mistake by incorporating the smudge into the tail feathers. Autumn

My cards today reflect what, autumn means to me, the warm colours and lazier days, sitting at the fire at night and feeling cosy.

A Little Bird Told Me

Another promising day, we've had beautiful weather which has meant I've been busy outside . We had some bad news at the beginning of the month and I didn't feel much like crafting, apologies to those I follow for a lack of comments.

I had a play yesterday and this card using a House Mouse image from the Triple CD from Joanna Sheen a Crafter's Companion Embossing Folder and a sentiment from Lili of the Valley. I decoupaged the holly leaves, it was a quick make as I kept it really simple using the sketch from SSW2 as inspiration

My poor "sunburnt" mouse is form Joanna Sheen House Mouse Triple CD Rom and the papers from Nitwit Collections. Despite being so close to the light bulb the mouse looks quite relaxed, do you remember when small uv sun ray lamps were all the rage in the early 70's.
